Okay, so I went into it expecting nothing but action and the ability to slash the characters for amusement. What I got was soo much more. I didn't need to slash them at all; they did it to themselves. Literally. The action was entertaining, the verbal sparring was more than I'd hoped for. The plot wasn't much, but it did at least hang together and, I reiterate, OMG THE SLASH.
When you fic reading people find good fic for this, as I'm sure you will (Nari, I'm looking at you) please forward it my way.

Ugh. I can't bring myself to go see Avatar. Its environmental themes are brutalized and dislocated and it has so many racism problems that my friends here wouldn't go with me even if I were interested. That and it stole the name from Avatar: The Last Airbender and won't let them use it for that film, which comes out next year.
