My mass transfer prof is awesome. He was bitching to us during our break in class yesterday. Apparently the university wants to be more environmentally friendly so they're doing an energy audit. All well and good, but there's no scedule of when the audit is going to be done. Instead, the university has created a set a conferences where they fly in some environmental keynote speaker from Victoria to give talks. My teacher was all annoyed because flying someone in is a waste of time and expecially energy and then what does he do? He comes in and tells everyone here how awesome and proactive they are and then he goes home. Nothing is actually getting done.
Apparently Al Gore, in his mansion, uses 20 times more power than the common American. The common American already uses 4 times as much as the common European.
Message being, why are we just talking? Why does talking about it make us feel better when we're not doing anything else? It's ridiculous.
Other than that, my life's pretty boring. Since I'm sure you don't all want to hear about my homework, I'll shut up now :D
