Because I want to know what it suggests about this job hunt stuff. It has very helpful advice sometimes. I mentioned this morning to Mom and Dad that my iPod had counselled 'Every gambler knows the secret to survival is knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep' and they both thought I was crazy.

Mine lies to me all the time. I just take the opposite of what it says and usually things turn out all right. My mp3 player, on the other hand, is about as cryptic as all get out, so by the time I figure out what it's trying to tell me it's too late.

Sometimes my iPod is nothing if not direct. I especially like when it tells me to stop asking it stupid questions - like when it plays Gosford Park or like this morning when it played Last Saskatchewan Pirate after I asked it about my job search for the 6th time. :)
